Background

May 2025: We are just starting.

Currently, we do not have any paid staff. We are volunteering our time while building the programs and raising amounts that will truly make a difference. We are also investing our own money in this endeavour because we truly believe in it.

Where Passion and Dedication Coalesce
The Wealthy Heart Foundation grew out of a long-time desire to help the world and vulnerable populations in our country of Canada – in particular, women and girls, as well as animals in need.
Exchanges with my daughter, one of my sisters and friends, led to conceiving a plan that would enable us to, overtime, not only contribute to ending women, but also that would support specialist organizations with a mandate to tackle environmental and healthcare system issues. Too many plague our society and especially affect those in precarious conditions, financially or otherwise. Furthermore, as single mothers and females from indigenous communities and newcomers are especially more at risk of facing unfavourable conditions, we determined that levelling their access to resources that would improve their chances at a better life was needed.
This includes considering the intersectionalities and providing greater support when these are high. People do not just fit into one box, and more boxes we tick on the 'discrimination/unprivileged' spectrum, more challenging life can be and harder it is to overcome one's situation.
One area that always stroke a chord with me was how just because someone may, from birth, not have been dealt the right cards and, as a result, were not exposed to opportunities that could, with hard work, launch them out of poverty. This could even allow them to attain a prosperous life for themselves and their families.
My dream is for the foundation to provide those who have the desire, the means to create generational wealth for their children and beyond. Our own mother was once alone with three children and without financial support. Yet - with the support of loved ones - she was able to build an abundant life that also provided us with the tools we needed to thrive on our own. For my part, one of these tools was the understanding that earning a solid education and continuously learning were fundamental to one's ability to survive and flourish. As such, sponsoring educational endeavours and vocational training are core to the foundation's programs.

The correlation between living in an environment that is not conducive to learning or healthy habits, let alone that is polluted, and low socioeconomic status is strong. This is why we propose to fund efforts to preserve our environments and to improve access to healthcare services.
My daughter, Simone, has great fondness for animals (dogs especially) and a desire to help those who don't have a thriving home environment. This means saving animals from abusive places and finding them a loving forever home. Simone is also an avid baker so she would like to provide kids with baking/cooking skills (while feeding their bellies).
There is so much we want to do and so many people to help. We entail to tackles initiatives in phases and in a measured way to ensure we do not overwhelm ourselves and can accomplish our endeavours in a truly meaningful manner.

We think we can as we are supported by dear friends and partners who are also vested in making this all possible. We also hope to reach many more supporters over the year, so that everyone with an identified need can benefit from our programs.
