Human Services Programs - Details

Overview

We expect the need for our services to vary based on individual situation. We will take a participant where she is at and support her on her journey so she can meet her objectives, considering the capacity (as in, ability and time) she has at that particular moment of her life and what she would like to accomplish.

We will, together with each participant individually and upon intake, define her needs and tailor a Growth Plan that:

  1. takes into account personal circumstances such as abilities, limitations, and aspirations; and

  2. identifies the program areas and services the participant anticipates requiring, and a recommended sequence for completion.

The Growth Plan may evolve overtime or, following a mutual decision, end given certain changes to personal circumstances.

We endeavour to empower and enable Canadian women and Newcomers to leverage existing talents, further develop skills, and establish themselves professionally and financially by:

Appuyer les initiatives d'éducation

Les activités de la Fondation commenceront avec la mise en œuvre de notre programme visant à rehausser l'éducation des participantes. Ceci incluera :

  • Accorder des subventions à des femmes sélectionnées pour financer les frais de scolarité au collège ou à l’université.

  • Subventionner les frais de scolarité d’un enfant doué dans une école dédiée ou plus appropriée à ses capacités.

Women who want to work outside of the home, and can do so, derive more life fulfillment and set an example for their children as future contributors to society. However, affordable childcare is difficult to secure, preventing mothers from returning to work. With many earning just over $100 per day and spending up to $50 per day (per child) in daycare fees, going to work is not financially viable after taking employment deductions and other expenses (e.g., clothing, food, gas, insurance, parking) into account. Then, some also have to face medical bills on top of that. The Foundation will support some of these costs to allow women to return to the workforce and eventually earn enough for the benefits to outweigh the costs. We hope to award up to $5,000 per qualifying participant in each category, up to 12 participants starting in 2026, and more each year.

|   Healthcare Subsidies

  • These will be administered by the foundation. Amounts awarded will vary based on funding available, the number of requests, and need based on demonstrated personal finances and costs of living.

  • An eligibility criteria & application form with instructions will be published here in early 2026.

Vocational guidance and mental health services are costly services and they are seldom available at no cost. When they are many conditions are attached that may not be suitable to our participants. Our services will be offered free of charge to participants on a Growth Plan. For those who would like to go the ‘extra mile’, activities will be organized for ladies in need of a ‘mental health break’ or just need to connect with other women. While the mothers are ‘out’ (e.g., bowling, paint night, art exhibit), their kids may attend also attend an activity such as basic cooking, building Legos, or painting. So everyone wins!

Mental Health Support

  • The Foundation will help students, new graduates, and experienced workers find their own career path and choose the educational program that's right for them (if desired/needed to attain their career of choice).

  • Stay tuned for more information.

The price of education keeps going up, along with the general cost of living, and a certain level of education is generally required to earn a decent income. As many don't have the good fortune to be born in a family that can afford tuition costs, there is always a need for bursaries and scholarships. As such, the Foundation will endeavour to cover the costs of tuition for one deserving child each year. Students who do not have the means to begin with, or the time to work while in school (e.g., mothers) think twice before getting a degree. The Foundation will start with one grant a year to be awarded to a woman who demonstrates a need and promise to succeed.
